Stitch Fix Box #12 March 2016

Hello everyone :) Spring is getting closer and I’ll be honest this winter has drug on and on! On a brighter note I received my Stitch Fix box #12. I can’t believe its been that long already! Let me tell you I’ve only kept all five items in my box one other time and (spoiler alert) I kept everything this time. Jessica brought her A-game this month because I loved it all!

In my Note to Stylist I wrote that I was needing a necklace to go with my Easter Dress and that would match the Navy in everyone else’s outfits. I also told her that I wanted only top items and no pants. So here’s what she sent me :

Item #1 Absolutley Tayler Open Drape Cardigan

Oh how I loved this cardigan!! This is just my style, beautiful colors, and I loved how it wasn’t too heavy.

DSC_0439DSC_0429

Item #2 Loveappella Devon Pleated Mini Skirt

Ok, so I’m sorry for the dark picture, I was in a hurry before work one day. This skirt is so comfy and loved the length. It’s hard to find a skirt that not too long on my petite frame. And it has pockets!!:) Oh how I love pockets…

Item #3 Skies are Blue Cecillo Crochet Front Knit Top

This was a great spring top, perfect with shorts or skinny jeans!

DSC_0443DSC_0445

Item #4 Bay to Baubles Lillia Gemstone Collar Necklace

This Necklace will go great with my Easter dress. The navy and mint also goes with many of other clothes I already have.

DSC_0426

Item #5 Market and Spruce Spencer 3/4 Sleeve Striped Dress

To go with the navy theme Jessica sent me this amazing lightweight dress. Yet again, this was the perfect length on me, and overall the pattern is very slimming.

I usually wait all three days to checkout. That way in the end I’m not keeping things just to keep them. Well I knew from the time I opened this one that I would be keeping them all. This was the best fix yet! If you have any questions about Stitch Fix click here. Thanks for stopping by and I can’t wait till the Fix!    -Monica

Stitch Fix Review #10 November 2015

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope you had a wonderful holiday with your friends and family. I know I am so grateful for all the blessings God has given me. I know that sounds a little corny but it’s true :) I ate way to much turkey and cheesecake.. Then I went with my momma and sister and we shopped till we dropped on Black Friday!

So here is my 10th Stitch Fix Box! I can’t believe its been that many but time flies when you’re having fun. I have to say this  box was really good. I know my Stylist Jessica tries very hard to find the best goodies that fit my style and budget.  I could have easily kept everything but I couldn’t stomach keeping jeans I can barely fit over my hips! lol  The rich warm tones of the Pixley Cardigan are seriously to die for and it matches my cross body bag I received in my last fix!  If you would like to check Stitch Fix out for yourself click here.

Item #1 Bay to Baubles Brinley Flower Gemstone Necklace    I really liked this necklace, I loved the colors and it was the perfect size. -Sent Back

   batch_DSC_0246

Item #2 Just Black Connely Skinny Jean- Sent Back                    I just didn’t love these. They kind of plain for the price. I wouldn’t have minded keeping them just to have a nice pair of black jeans but like I said I could barely fit them over my hips.

batch_DSC_0275

batch_DSC_0272

Item #3 Pixley Avi Open Drape Cardigan-KEPT!!!

I am seriously wearing this cardigan as I’m writing this :) I absolutely looovvveee this sweater! It is so so warm and cozy. The colors are so perfect and I went a little crazy with the pictures…I just love it so much!!

 batch_DSC_0261 batch_DSC_0258

batch_DSC_0262 batch_DSC_0256

Item #4 Market and Spruce Bernadette Lace Overlay Raglan Top- Sent Back

The colors of this top matched perfectly with the necklace and sweater. I liked this top just didn’t love it enough to keep it. It did fit very well though.

batch_DSC_0269

Item #5 Zad Cody Teardrop Fringe Earrings- Kept

These are so pretty, I didn’t have anything like them so they are mine now. I already have worn them several times. They are the perfect size, color and style.

Stitch Fix Review October 2015

Hi Friends! Oh how I love the fall, pretty leaves and cool weather. Cooler temps bring my most favorite thing in the world..sweaters and boots!! It’s that time again, another Stitch Fix Review, here are some things I requested: a specific plaid shirt, fall tops and no pants.  I was a bit disappointed this time to find I actually was sent a pair of pants but I did find something I liked. Tell me what you think!

batch_IMG_4536

Item #1 Market and Spruce Chaplin Hooded Anorak Cargo Jacket- Sent back

I really liked this jacket but I was hoping for something a little warmer for winter and I had just bought something very similar to this so with heavy heart sent back…(tear)

batch_IMG_4552

Item #2 Collective Concepts Verano Crochet Detail Blouse- Sent Back

I liked this top too, it looked great with the Pixley cardigan. It was just a little too blousy big for me.

batch_IMG_4556

Item #3 Pixley Abriella Waffle Knit Cardigan-KEPT!!

I looooved this cardigan!!!! The material is so so different and flattering. I didn’t have anything like it and at $48 I thought the price was very reasonable!

batch_FullSizeRender

Item #4 Papermoon Wynn Blouse-Sent Back

This shirt was very similar to a shirt I had pinned on my board. It was a Petite and fit me quite well. It just didn’t wow me so it went back.

batch_IMG_4557

Item #5 Level 99 Giovanni Straight Leg Jean-Sent Back

These pants were also a Petite, and fit me quite well. Here’s the brutally honest part, I hated them.. I requested no pants and I got these. I found the color awful, and the price tag even worse. I’m sure she sent them to me because they came in petite and they did look good with the Collective concepts top being a navy color.

This was very pretty, and fit great!

DSC_0009batch_DSC_0026

Item #3 and #4 Pixley Malynn Asymmetrical Soft Moto Vest and Romolo Genevieve Stacked Chevron Pendant Necklace

I was iffy on the vest, I think I could have made it work. I kept the necklace, I had it on my Pinterest board about a million times!

batch_batch_DSC_0030batch_DSC_0013

Item #5 Hem & Thread Highley Lace Detail Knit Top

This top was really soft and pretty, you really need to wear something underneath, kinda see-through.

batch_DSC_0035batch_DSC_0037

Stitch Fix Review #5 July 2015

Stitch Fix Review #5 July 2015

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is having a great summer. I know we are soaking up as much sun as possible before school’s back in. So here’s another Review from my fifth Stitch Fix Box!  I was a little hesitant when I first opened my box, but as I was trying everything on I did  manage to put together some great outfits paired with some of my own clothes :) Be sure to check out my last post on how to get an awesome Fix with some quick tips using Pinterest and being very specific on your want list. Please follow me on Pinterest for all my latest finds!
I just wanted to say how happy I’ve been since I signed up with Stitch Fix five months ago. I’m a busy mom and rarely have time to make any time for myself let alone go shopping. I feel now I am so much more open to trying new styles and trying items on I would have never picked. And finally I love how awesome and kind the entire company is, truly rare kindness :) Okay, now on to my Fix!
Item #1 Loveappella Cheyanne Printed Maxi Skirt- KEPT
Item #2 Freeway Zinia Cutout Knit Top- KEPTbatch_DSC_0004 batch_DSC_0008
At first this skirt did nothing for me, I’m not sure if it was just the colors or what? The material is super soft and it did fit me just perfect (no hemming). So very determined I dug through the closet and found a lacy baby pink tank that matched it perfect. I put the Zinia Cutout Top on overtop and Perfect! I loved this outfit.

batch_DSC_0017 batch_DSC_0023

In my note to stylist I asked for a form fitting top and Jessica did great! I loved this shirt, very soft and I love the twisted top.  I had nothing in my closet like this so this was a keeper.
Item #3 Zad Vedelia Spade Drop Earrings- SENT BACK

DSC_0150

I requested a specific pair of Spade earrings from Pinterest and they were out of them so she sent me these. I liked them but they didn’t wow me, so back they went.
Item #4 Papermoon Hamlet Lace Detail Blouse- KEPT

batch_DSC_0038batch_DSC_0035

DSC_0146

I loved the color of this blouse, just my style! The back detail was so pretty and it look great with a long necklace.  The material is great too because you can wear this over and over and it will still look just as great as the first time. Again I had nothing like this in my closet so another keeper :)
Item #5 Loveappella Abella Maxi Dress- SENT BACK

DSC_0142DSC_0144

I didn’t get a picture in this because frankly it just wasn’t me, lol. It was just a little to BOHO for me. I did like the way it felt and it was very comfortable.

How to get you best Fix!! Stitch Fix 101

Tips and Tricks to get a great Fix!

I get a lot of questions when I’m talking about Stitch Fix and sometimes I talk to friends that have received boxes that they weren’t so crazy about. So here’s a quick rundown of what I do to get a great box (and keep getting them!)

Stitch-Fix-Personal-Styling-Subscription-box8

-In the beginning I did link My Style Pinterest board and my first two boxes were just ok. Then I started searching for Stitch Fix clothes and I found that they looked at those much more often than non Stitch Fix clothes.  If you pin a lot of Stitch Fix clothes you will still be surprised and definitely not disappointed!!

-If you received a box you love definitely request the same stylist next time. She might not get your style perfect every time but she will learn what you don’t like pretty quick! I love my stylist Jessica.  She tries really hard and always tries to meet my request!

BE SPECIFIC!! If you need a pretty maxi dress for a wedding or some dress pants for work, SAY SO!! They are very so so happy when you can be specific on your wants!

-Even if you think you don’t like a piece, keep trying it on with different pieces of your wardrobe.  For example I just received a box yesterday and Jessica sent me a maxi skirt (I had requested one) and I looked at it and even tried it on :/ It was just ok. I went back to my closet and said “Is there any top that would make this skirt look amazing. And just like that I found a perfect lacy tank that made the skirt look so pretty. I even took another shirt she sent me that I wasn’t crazy about and put it on top of the lacy tank and BOOM! The outfit looked amazing! My point is don’t judge to quickly.

batch_DSC_0008

Don’t expect to like everything every time!  The goal isn’t to keep everything all the time but to build a great wardrobe and to find special pieces that truly makes us feel amazing. I never have been one to think outside my box, but Stitch Fix definitely does that for me!

If you would like more information click here,

hope this helps you all get your best Fix!!!  -Monica

Stitch Fix Review #4 July 2015

IMG_4328

So after my last fix I thought it will be really hard to top that box! Well I was wrong! I requested Jessica again and they let me keep her! Lol She just gets me…

So here’s a super quick rundown of how Stitch Fix work: Fill out a style profile and your personal stylist will send you 5 items based on your profile and your Pinterest board (which I highly recommend doing) you will be much happier if you do!  You have three days to try things on and after the three days keep what you want and send back what you don’t!! Yes that easy! Free shipping both ways and your $20 styling fee will go toward your purchase! If you do decide to sign up please use my link here so I can get a referral and keep doing what I love :) My previous posts will give way more details if you’re interested so feel free to look through my past reviews!!

Item #1 Pixley Fiona Maxi Dress- Kept!!batch_IMG_4373

Oh how I have waited to get this dress!! I had this pinned on my Pinterest board and loved it!! I did have to do some alterations to the length, definitely not for short girls but I just couldn’t send it back!!

Item #2 Dear John Finnegan Roll Cuff Short- Kept!!

batch_IMG_4386

Sorry I didn’t have a good picture of me wearing them, but let me tell you they are the most comfortable shorts ever!! Super soft stretchy material (very forgiving) and the cuff is so cute!

Item #3 Pixley Avah Chevron Print Dolman Sleeve Top- Kept!!!

batch_IMG_4375

This was my favorite item in the box!! If you read my other posts my first box had a shirt similar but plain and I so regretted sending it back!! Well this one was way cuter and so so comfortable!! Love, Love, Love!

Item #4 Zad Leanne Infinity Drop Earrings-Kept!

batch_IMG_4358

These were really pretty and I didn’t have any like them so they are mine now :)

Item #5 Fate Kathina Sheer Cut Out Top-Sent Back

See the top picture and I’m not wearing it(For a good reason)

LOL When I first seen this top I loved it and I thought how pretty it was but the sleeves fit me very pointy?? So I sent Stitchfix an email and they were awesome to let me send it back and still get my 25% discount because in my picture she said it didn’t look like it had been sewn correctly. I love their customer service department, everyone is so helpful and very quick to answer any concerns you have. Just another reason Stitch Fix is huge love of mine :)

That’s it for my July review! See you in August!!!

Blessings, Monica

Stitch Fix Box #3 May 2015

stitchfixclothes

Welcome to my Stitch Fix Review!! This one is my May 2015 box.  Here is a quick explanation of how it works:

You fill out a very detailed style profile explaining every aspect of your style and how you like things to feel and fit! You set the price range for each category along with what you would like to receive in your fix, like whether you would like all tops, or no jewelry, etc.. Then you schedule your Fix!! Your personal stylist will handpick five items for you which can include tops, pants, dresses, jewelry, purses, etc.. It is free shipping both ways. Keep what you love and send back what you don’t in a prepaid mailer!! No need to subscribe even though you can if you like! The cool thing is when you schedule your fix you can send your stylist a personal note explaining if there is something specific you would like that month!! When you receive your Fix you will get a little note from your stylist explaining why she picked what she did, and a style card showing different ways to wear each piece! And make sure you try everything on, even if you don’t like it at first. I seriously hated one of my tops until I tried it on and it ended up being my favorite! There is a $20 styling fee initially but that will come off the price of anything you keep even if you keep just one thing!! If  you decide to try it please use my link here so I can keep doing these posts on what I love :)

So this month was the big 3-0 for me and I was very very specific on my “note to stylist” not to send me anything too “Mommy”!! :) I know I am getting older but that doesn’t mean I have to dress that way! I told her I wanted a colorful purse and to look on my Pinterest board for all the new things I pinned. Well let me tell you my stylist Ashley hit it out of the park on this one!! I have found the more specific you are the happier you will be overall… Here is what I got!

Item #1 Collective Concepts Georgina Keyhole Detail Blouse-KEPT

Item #2 Mint Colored Mavi Aiden Skinny Jeans-KEPT

I absolutely love this blouse and skinny jeans together!! They go so well together and fit perfectly! She even went down a jean size which I rolled my eyes at before I tried them on and WALLA!! They fit! I have no idea how they pick the perfect jean size but they do.

1173 1179

Item #3 Pixley Messi Lattice Neckline Knit Top-KEPT

This was a top that I had pinned in Pinterest and was so so excited when I pulled it out of the box! It also look supercute with the mint Mavi jeans I recieved. Perfect fit, loved!

1172

Item #4 Brixon Ivy Lex Textured Floral Knit Fit & Flare Dress-KEPT

This dress is amazing!! I had pinned it about 10 times so my stylist would get the hint that wanted it badly!!! I did alter the dress a bit in the straps so it would fit better, which was no big deal. The fabric is amazing, it is very soft and thick. Definitely not cheaply made, very high quality! I loved wearing a jean jacket with it :)

1191 1197

Item #5 Moda Luxe Chicago Structured Satchel-KEPT

I asked for a colorful purse and Ashley delivered!! I looooved this bag! The color is so beautiful and couldn’t have picked a better one myself! It’s not too big or too small, the perfect size!

purse

So yes I kept EVERYTHING!!! Best fix yet!! And remember if you keep everything you will get a 25% discount!!  Like I said the best way to get the perfect box is:

-Be very specific in your note to stylist.

-Pin specifically Stitch Fix pins.

-Tell them what you don’t want!! LOL

Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!! Monica

My 2nd Stitch Fix Box! April 2015

Welcome to Petite Mom Living!! Thanks so much for taking time to read my review of Stitch Fix Box #2! I really wish I would have taken pictures of myself trying everything on but I didn’t know I was going to write about them, my third Stitch Fix Review will up shortly and I took pictures of everything!!

stitchfixclothes2

So this is how Stitch Fix works: You fill out a very detailed style profile explaining every aspect of your style and how you like things to feel and fit!

So when I signed up for my next box I was a little more specific on some items I was wanting, I had read several blogs on how to get a great box. I requested a certain Maxi dress and they were out of my size :( . I also requested a jean jacket and a pair of distressed skinny jeans. In my style profile I did select the option of not getting any accessories but I’m sure I will request them sometime! So let’s get to it!

Item #1 Kut From The Kloth Aviva Boyfriend Jean- Sent Back

stitchfixclothes6

When I requested a pair of distressed skinny  jeans this was not what I was expecting. My stylist wrote on my card that she did not have any distressed skinny jeans available in my size so she thought I might like these… uh no….these were not me at all! I didn’t like the first pair of boyfriend jeans in my first box! Lol I did send a little note to Stitch Fix about me expressing how much I hated the first pair and why did they send me another pair!!?? They were super awesome and gave me a credit just for not listening to my feedback.

Item #2 Just USA Morrie Boyfriend Denim Jacket-Sent Back

stitchfixclothes5

I wanted to love this jacket so much! I tried it on with several other pieces I already had and I just couldn’t do it. It was way to big and bulky for me even though it was a small.

Item #3 Gilli Zuli Maxi Dress-KEPT!!!

1203 1199

At first I was disappointed that I didn’t get the Maxi dress I requested but after three days of trying this on I fell in love!! The dress is super flattering on my small figure and I loved pairing it with this cute little jean jacket I already had! This is why I love Stitch Fix so much, even if I find one piece that I love it is all worth it!

Item #4 Sweet Rain Chrissy V-Neck Blouse- Sent Back

stitchfixclothes4

Initially I really liked this tank, it was a very pretty material and very different than what I would normally wear. It just didn’t look very flattering on me, it hung way to loose and I’m not a fan of V-necks.

Item #5 Renee C Tucker Crocket Trim Top- Sent Back

stitchfixclothes3

I loved this top, I should have kept it! The material was so so different I can’t even explain how it felt, very slinky but not see through or too thick. The only reason I didn’t keep this was the lace all around the neck and arms. The lace hung very loose and awkward. I still dream about this top though, lol….

There’s my review! And again if you’re interested at all pretty please use my link here so I can receive a credit. My next review (May 2015) will be up soon and all I’ll say is that it rocked!! Pics to come! Thanks and God Bless!! Monica
